SiBarge and his hobby horse

If you play Saga and you play Anglo Saxons, you know that your warband is levy hevy! A full six point warband is 72 figures and a Chieftain. I have 72 levy, but I don't have any archers. My AS force is composed entirely of Tanatus miniatures, so for a unit of archers I needed more. Tanatus is no longer a going concern, so I had to ask about to see if anyone had any spare figures in their lead pile. I managed to scoop a few old figures from various corners of the world, in that pile were enough archers to create one Saga point.  Here they are, ready to ping projectiles at the foes of Britain. I used a limited pallet of muted colours, hopefully suitable for the dark ages.  All based on a UK penny.

Another recruit to my Chirton Maggot sludgers kill team. The new rules edition dispenses with a 20 figure roster, so I can now make up all the variants I want and take them with me.  The Chieftain is an able melee figure, the chainsword hitting on 3's and doing decent damage and the bolt pistol also does reasonable damage. With the KT3 restriction on plasma (you can only take 1 plasma weapon with blooded) it means the chieftain is less likely to be running a plasma pistol. The figure is from Knucklebones and so is the horse skull. The powersord is a GW chaos weapon.
