Hierotek circle

At last, after the recent buffs, a decent Necron team :) Yay, well, sort of yay, there are some new characters in here that weren't featured in the compendium team so I'll have to do a bit of kit bashing to make them. Some are really nice figures that I'll be tempted to purchase eventually, but for now I'm trying to push together a full team from the Compendium team I have and the stuff I got in the Indomitus box set. The team is one big metal boss dude, a Cryptek, he can be in the form of a Technomancer (no no, no no no no), a Chronomaster (isn't that a Rolex?) or a Psychomancer... here's my Chronomaster in some neon nineties BMX colours. This is my Apprentek and Despotek Then there are two small dudes - Plasmacytes, one accelerator and one re-animator. I had one in the indomitus set and bought another from ebay and had to convert so they were not identical.      The bulk of the team is made up of five immortals or Deathmarks. There are two characters in there,

Talons of the Emperor!

The big guys! Custodes. I bought these cos I wanted to get more teams, and this is the smallest team of all. These monster are the pinnacle of Imperial macho, joined in combat by the pinnacle of Imperial lady macho; the sisters of silence. A great team, nerfed from the all powerful 4APL that they were released at and now just limited by numbers. Teaming up with Sisters seems to be the way to run them, I will find out soon, these are just to enter the fray. Super powerful in both attack and defence, just vulnerable if they ever lose a member. They become more balanced when run with the sisters, but who doesn't want to run the full custard strike force once in a while... That means I'm on the hunt for a single golden boi! I was gifted a figure form my local Kill Team scene, I got him painted up promptly, so here's the new fella.

Space marine intercession teams

The mighty Imperial Intercessors, in their massive primaris form. I have built this team from the base of the Compendium Intercessors teams that I made prior to the specific Intercession squad pdf release. I'd made five marine assault and standard intercessors squads. I'd then added the sixth marine after the dataslate drop. What I had then was six Templar Intercessors and six Ultramarine Assault intercessors. I started out using the blue guys and the black guys in combo, easy to see who was what. But there's a limit to the time these two chapters will work together, so I had to work on adding the other types to the teams. I've ended up with two almost complete teams, one Ultras and one Templars The original six Intercessors.  Adding in the three new Assault intercessors The Ultra marine Assault Intercessors with an additional Intercessor grenadier. Three more standard inters are on the painting table and will be recruited very soon. These are a set of six Dark Angels I

Kill Team 29 - Legionary Marines

This is the team that's stomping the scene right now. They are powerful, have some neat tricks, can take a shot or two and are not too complex. What's not to like? I made this team up from existing compendium teams, each specialist is clearly identified and there is a mix of Khorne and Nurgle type marines. I have a Nurgle inspired Champion, another Nurgle Shrivetalon, Khorne heavy bolter and Icon and Nurgle plasma. I have a Thousand sons chain cannon dude who represents the Reaper Chain cannon even though it's not techincally the correct weapon. I have a Khorne Missile Launcher that can fill out the roster. The mighty Gareth Balefire! Gareth with his little mate, the annointed. A 2020 figure alongside a 1990 figure showing just how big and tasty the newer figures are. I think my anointed was one of the very first chaos space marines out. Whatever, he's a classic piece of history, shows how long I've had an interest in this game and he does the job. I rarely take the
