 I found a local guy who prints out stuff and that's enabled me to get a few little projects done. One major aspect will be my skaven Warmaster army, but I also have a bunch of little kill team stuff to do. These are T'Au specific barricades, I painted them in the main colour of my team. I did a simple scheme with a few decals. That's it :)

 Here are my Navy breachers team, I wasn't very impressed with the uniform of these guys, the bath robe just didn't sit right with me. As a result I was less than keen to paint them. But then I saw some cool extreme OSL stuff on GHD and Insta and thought I'd have a go at it. I chose my least favourite figures to slap it on. I made up the breachers in what I feel would be a decent team, them did a basic paint job of brown over bronze with a few details in silver, black and flesh. Then I sprayed red and orange form one side and purple from the other. The trick is to keep a nice line of unsprayed colours through the interface between the colours, I wasn't that successful with this trick :)  I then brought up the highlights of the red side and added some more OSL around the lenses and the plasma stuff.  I decided to make up an Exaction squad based on the film Hot Fuzz. All of these figures are old style metal. Three of them are from a really cool little company called Hasslefree and the riot police are all from Offensive miniatures. Hopefully the proxy details are obvious enough that you can see who's who. Bases are justmdf discs with some stuff painted on, small green stuff details and bolt heads. Finishing partly painted teams off. I've been on a mission to complete several partly finished teams in order to clear up the backlog and also to give me some other options to play. First up was the Rubric marines from my Warp Coven team. I made up five, not because that was sensible, but because that was what came in the box. I made three sorcers, one Icon and a chain cannon. That left five marines, that I built up.  Here they are painted and finished off. A basic blue and gold scheme. Next up was my sixth Grey Knight, this fella has been hanging about since the data sheet gave the marines and extra operative. Obviously not the Tacticals or the Scouts, but every one else. I struggled to remember the paint scheme, and in the end just went for it. It seems to match in OK. I also had a few intercessors that I wanted to bulk out my Ultra marines. Kill Team grenade markers. When you play Kill Team you get equipment options to give your operatives, common pieces are frag and krak grenades. I've been using the generic tokens that come in the box for these in the past, but say "the red radar dish is a frag grenade" just doens't make sense and I normally forget by TP2 what it is. So I decided to make a couple of frag and krak tokens to put next to the relevant operative. These are 1p pieces with a bit of texture paste, then I added the spare grenades from the Scions box, there are quite a lot in there. I stuck them in a pile and then added some tufts and a couple of packs of discarded ciggies. Yeah Marlboro are still selling death sticks in 40k... This week I also updated some other pages with new pics. My Hieroteck circle are now complete, I added a fourth custodes and another Novitiate with a whip.

 In a break from the normal, I'm adding these guys on their own post. I wanted to get a nice neat index of teams but I can't work out how to do it, so I'm going to try to do an update once a week on a Monday with Sundays pictures. I'm going to fluff that next week as I'm going snowboarding. But for now it's a plan.  Here are my plaguebearers. They make up two fire teams as featured in the compendium. There's a bigger boss bloke a banner and a musician. They are slow and tanky and work well with the fast and furious Pinks with a bit of shooting. Some of these were on square bases so I snipped the sides off, sanded them down and stuck them to plastic discs. I didn't get a musician with my second hand demons, so I made one out of some plastic rod. I now have the full eight team deamon kill team although it will never fit on a roster. All my Demons! Yeah I have square bases on my daemonettes, but they rarely get used.

New stuff from the painting table, I've been messing with terrain. The Into the Dark Box has a ton of cool walls and I have started to get interested in playing the Close Quarters rules as the maps are detailed, ready to go and the games seem to avoid that nasty first turn surprise element when you either crush an unsuspecting foe, or you get mashed.  The Maps don't really allow LoS from drop zone to drop zone. The walls were painted black then zenithaled slightly with grey, then silver, then wash after wash and some black for wires and cables, bone colour for skulls, some gold and copper here and there and some white for screens. I painted some glowy GW green on the white without shaking the bottle too much and got that sort of electrical glow.
