Forbidden psalm warband spell caster

Image
This is another Knucklebones STL. Their stuff is really redolent of classic metal minis. I am enjoying the Knucklebones patreon. I wanted a Blanche style look to my gang as the figures are very old skool in aesthetic. I tried to stick to a Zorn pallet but couldn't resist a green gem on the sword hilt.

Wendigo

Forbidden psalm features a bunch of awesome monsters, this is one of them. It's a 3d print, I added a few bits on the base and printed it at 60% as it's massive.

Forbidden Psalm warband "Silent Deff"

Image
Here are all five members of my warband for Forbidden Psalm. They have recently been seen conversing with the mad wizard and are known to be career criminals.  They are lead by the fearsome and miserable Mickey the Lich, who clutches a tome of deadly spells he stole from the dead hands of a notorious mage who was prone to evil misdemeanors.  Second in command is Slippery Sid, shifty and sly, a knife wielding, pistol shooting scumbag. For heavy duty protection Mickey employs the rather nasty Franc the Stick and his spikey stick. Skulking in the background are two generic henchmen; Henry Hench and Crouchie. These have been hired specifically as distraction targets and are fully expendable.

A small pond

Image
There's a pond deep in the woods, the locals say it's dangerous. No one goes there. There's no fish in it, it stinks, and a filthy mist floats above it like mould on old bread. Legend has it that an afanc lives in it, there are bones and turds that speak of a carnivorous beast, but no one has been foolish enough to hang around and see what lives there. No one has seen it, at least no one who's seen it has ever lived to tell the tale.  Beware the afanc. Beware the afanc pond. The pond was made from XPS foam to create the contours, this was stuck on a mounting board base. The XPS was coated with a PVA and exterior filler mix, with a bit of black craft paint in it, so if it chips there wont be white bits. I then painted it up and added sticks, rocks, tufts and a bit of leaf litter. The resin is just some two part crystal clear stuff from ebay with a bit of green ink in it. Mounting board can warp if it gets too damp, I tend to liberally coat both sides with watered down PV...

Forbidden Psalm warband member 5 - Slippery Sid

Image
They say never work with kids of animals, that's never occured to Mickey the Lich who has recruited a blend of both to his warband. Slippery Sid is a notorious rodent inspired felon who has been briganding along the edges of the badlands for many years. He was drawn in to the employ of Mickey as he sought a more regular line of work. He specialises in throat slitting and spleen 'sploding with his trusty dagger and his monstrous pistol "Stormflinger". This is another cool sculpt by Matt Knucklebones, I now have all five members from the KB stable. I tried to get an old school Blanche style on this fella, by adding some checks and using a brighter red but dirtying it down. There is not a lof of cloth on this figure to create the classic Blanchitsu scheme, so it's more of a homage. I am considering adding some tattoos though, just to add a bit of interest to the skin.

Forbidden Psalm warband member 4 - Franc the stik

This is Franc the stik. Recruit number four in my warband. Mini from Knucklebones miniatures. He's got a big stick and he knows how to use it.

Sludge raiders new recruit

Image
I know I said my sludge raiders were finished, but I could not resist the lure of a power sword armed chieftain. The chieftain is such a devastating power play operative. Him and the Butcher are the two sharp points of a very nasty melee punch.  The chieftain has the free ability Lead with strength that means when you activate him more than 6" from your drop zone and he has a blooded token, then he's counted as under the gaze of the gods. That's a free Crit every fight or shoot action. It's easy to get him over 6" away with a Move and a Dash.  I always stick my initial blooded token on the chieftain and I make sure he's shielded by a adjacent grunt so he's safe from shooting. The pre game stimm to give Relentless makes this dude a proper killer. There's no reason to put him on Engage in TP1 so keep him safe. TP2 starts and he's UTGOTG on activation, Moment of Repute will give him another AP so he can Shoot with the laspistol getting at least one fr...
